Need to refresh your knowledge of a specific area of the law?
Want to learn more about a different area of the law?
Consider auditing a course at the University of Baltimore School of Law. As an auditor you may enroll in an upper-level J.D. course. It’s like taking a law school course without taking the final. Plus, there is a special audit rate of $500 per credit plus mandatory fees.
Steps to Auditing a Course
- Find the course you wish to audit in the class schedule. Most upper-level courses other than experiential courses are available for you to audit. (Permission is required from the faculty member teaching the course.)
- Complete the application to audit the course.
The Office of Law Admissions will review your application and contact the faculty member to get their approval. If approved, we will notify you and enroll you in the class.
Program Policies
Only individuals who hold a JD degree from a U.S. law school, or graduates of foreign law schools who hold an LL.M. from a U.S. law school may enroll to audit an upper-level course as special students with approval from the faculty member teaching the course.
Students will receive a grade of AU for completion of the class. Audited courses may not apply to a degree program at the University of Baltimore.
Please review the audit policy in the student handbook for more details.
