Develop your personal career development plan.
Our approach to career advising is collaborative, supportive, and results-oriented.
We can help you explore a variety of career options and identify the types of opportunities that are most compatible with your talents, interests, values, and lifestyle.
We can assist you in developing a year-by-year career development plan, incorporating the most effective job search practices.
Beyond assisting you in identifying your goals, our one-on-one meetings also address other aspects of career planning:
- resume and cover letter preparation
- interview preparation
- market and employer information
- practice area exploration
- professional skills development
We offer an interactive mock interview program. We recommend that you have your mock interview recorded. Many students find that watching their interview builds their confidence and helps them identify areas of improvement.
You can schedule an advising appointment or mock interview anytime online from your UB Law Connect homepage.
E-mail us your resume and a cover letter for review. Please tell us in the e-mail what type of position you are seeking. If you would like us to review a cover letter, it must be written for a particular job opportunity; include a copy of your resume and the position description (if possible) for reference. We will e-mail you back edits and/or comments within 2-3 days.
