Final examinations for most courses are given at the end of each semester. Exams are graded anonymously.
Anonymous Grading
Each student is identified by a confidential exam number. Exam numbers are randomly generated and are assigned to the student for one semester. Students are given a different exam number each semester. Anonymous ID numbers for final exams can be obtained through My Ubalt under “Links for Law Students” before each final exam period. Anonymous ID numbers can also be found in Examplify.

Emergency Deferrals During Examination Period
If an emergency arises during the examination period, the student is to contact the Head Proctor in the Exam Control Room (410) 837-4082 or e-mail exams@ubalt.edu. The Associate Dean must give approval for the emergency deferral. Emergency deferrals may be granted provisionally by phone but must be supported by a written request and supporting documentation within 48 hours (about 2 days) unless extended by the Associate Dean or his or her designee.
Failure to appear for an Exam
In the absence of a documented emergency, students who fail to take a final exam during the scheduled time will receive a grade of F. Decisions about what constitutes a documented emergency are made by the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs. Students must not contact faculty about missed exams.
