There are many ways students and members of the Baltimore community can be involved in the Sayra and Neil Meyerhoff Center for Families, Children and the Courts.
Student Fellows Program
As a student fellow, I learned how a therapeutic approach to the law can produce positive experiences for parents and children in family court proceedings. My CFCC experience reminded me that my reason to attend law school was to help people.

The CFCC Student Fellows Program I and Program II provide law students with a unique opportunity to experience the cutting edge of family law and family justice system reform.
Student Fellows engage in CFCC projects that:
- Design innovative approaches to family law and family justice system reform issues.
- Involve them in CFCC's Truancy Court Program

Develop contacts for future employment.
Student Research Assistants
Because CFCC undertakes numerous projects, law students can work as student research assistants, depending upon available funding. To inquire about availability, please contact CFCC's Director, Professor Barbara A. Babb.
Truancy Court Program Volunteers
Law students interested in working in community/court partnerships are encouraged to participate in CFCC's Truancy Court Program Volunteer Initiative, which also is open to all members of the University of Baltimore community.
