Career Services
The Law Career Development Office (LCDO) is proud to maintain a staff of experienced career counselors who are committed to assisting alumni in their job search.
UB Law Connect
Alumni are invited to use UB Law Connect, the law school's online career services platform powered by 12Twenty. Through your UB Law Connect account, alumni can search for employment opportunities, gain access to the alumni directory, and use helpful research tools to support your career growth.
To create a UB Law Connect account, please complete this online form. Once your alumni status is verified, you will receive an email with login information.
Search for Jobs: Every day, the LCDO receives numerous job announcements from public and private sector employers nationwide who are looking to hire Baltimore Law alumni. You can search for jobs by practice area, geographic location, and employer.
Alumni & Student Directory: Through UB Law Connect, alumni and students have access to a "mini LinkedIn" just for our community. Alumni who add their professional experience and affiliations can search for former classmates, find alumni interested in mentoring other alumni and students, and make meaningful connections with members of the UB Law community. You can message alumni directly through the platform. Everyone with an Alumni account on UB Law Connect is automatically included in this directory, but you may opt-out at any time by changing your account settings.
Research Tools: When you add details about your employment experience to your UB Law Connect profile, our powerful research tools aggregate that data with information from your fellow alumni. Our tools allow you to see how different employers, industries, functions, and much more compare when it comes to compensation, number of offers accepted, and employment trends—not only at UB Law but across all law schools using 12Twenty's career platform.
Please note: Adding your employment and salary information is critical to the success of these research tools by ensuring alumni have a trusted database to enhance their career search and to achieve their professional goals. Data aggregated from your profile into the platform's research tools remains completely anonymous. All contact information, offer and salary data that alumni add to their UB Law Connect profile is strictly confidential.
Alumni Career Counseling
The LCDO team is available to provide general assistance to alumni seeking advice. Typical support involves counseling about developing a successful job search strategy; advice on how to position professional experience as strongly as possible; feedback on resumes and cover letters; and interview preparation.
Due to limited staffing, recent graduates are prioritized for available career counseling appointments. Please make an appointment through your UB Law Connect account.
