Meet the Board
Emilee Halley, President
Emilee Halley is a 3L day student who graduated from the University of South Carolina with a B.A. in Public Relations. As a 2L, Emilee interned for the Maryland Attorney General's Office Criminal Appeals Division and was a member of the Cybercrimes Moot Court Team.
In 2020, Emilee interned for the Honorable Kevin J. Mahoney in Harford County Circuit Court. As a 3L, in addition to serving as the Board of Advocates' President, Emilee is a member of the Criminal Law Association and serves as a teaching assistant for Professor David Jaros' Introduction to Lawyering Skills class.
Annemarie Duerr, Trial Team Liaison
Annemarie Duerr is a 3L day student with a B.A. in Political Science from McDaniel College. During college Annemarie was a member of the women's lacrosse team and participated in Maryland's Independent Higher Education Day each year.
In addition to serving as the Trial Team Liaison, Annemarie serves as the Justice for the LaBrum Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta and is a research assistant for Professor Amy Sloan. In summer 2021, Annemarie worked as a law clerk for Cordell & Cordell in Baltimore City where she is continuing part-time throughout the school year. Prior to that, Annemarie worked for the Law Office of Laura Burrows in Annapolis.
Annemarie is a member of the National Trial Team and represented the University of Baltimore in the 2021 Regional Competition.
Aiden Galloway, Secretary
Aiden Galloway is a 3L interested in pursuing a career in civil litigation. Aiden currently works as a student attorney in UB's Civil Advocacy Clinic and contributes to the fight against COVID-19 through her position with the Maryland Department of Health. After graduation, Aiden will clerk in the Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County.
Aiden competed on the 2020 National Moot Court Team, which qualified for and competed in, the National Moot Court Competition.
Hayley Weisman, Vice President of Education
Hayley Weisman is a 3L day student. Prior to law school, Hayley graduated from Syracuse University with a B.S. in Music Business. In summer 2020, Hayley interned at The Law Offices of Thomas Donnelly. In summer 2021, Hayley joined Aon as a transaction solutions intern.
In addition to her role on the Board of Advocates, Hayley serves as an associate comments editor for UBalt Law Review and is a law scholar for Professor David Jaros' first-year Criminal Law class. Hayley also competed on the Jessup International Law Moot Court Team.
Nathan Steeleman, Vice President of Logistics
Nathan Steeleman is a 4L evening student. Prior to law school, Nathan graduated from the University of Maryland at College Park with a B.A. in Criminology and Criminal Justice. Additionally, Nathan received his M.A. in Political Science from The American Military University.
During his time at UB Law, Nathan has served as a law scholar for Professor Charles Tiefer's first-year Contracts class, was selected as a UBalt student ambassador, and competed on the Jessup International Moot Court Team.
