Black Law Students Association (BLSA)

Mission

The National Black Law Students Association - NBLSA

The Black Law Students Association (BLSA) was founded in 1968 with the purpose of effectuating change in the legal system. The association endeavored to sensitize the law and legal profession to the ever-increasing needs of the Black community. This commitment has never wavered. The National Black Law Students Association (NBLSA), the largest student-run organization in America, has over 200 chapters at law schools throughout the country. This represents almost every ABA accredited law school, plus several non-accredited law schools.

BLSA is committed to making your matriculation to the University of Baltimore School of Law as seamless as possible. Throughout the year there will be various events and programs that will help students complete their education.

BLSA is by no means an exclusive organization. Our commitment remains to the entire student body, regardless of race, creed or religion. As you will see, BLSA's steadfastness to diversity is reflected amongst our membership.
