Local Accommodations

Congratulations on your admission to the University of Baltimore School of Law. This page is meant to ease your transition from admitted applicant to enrolled student so it will be frequently updated.  Please check back often to ensure that you have the latest information. If at anytime you have questions, please contact the Office of Law Admissions.

The Law Preview Day for admitted students will be held in February and March. You can view video of Dean Closius' message as well as the student panel and the career panel discussions online for the fall 2009 entering class.

Your Academic Program

All new law students take the same classes. When you take them is determined by your academic program. Students are enrolled in their first year classes by the Office of Law Admission.

Housing Information

The Residences in UB Midtown provide cost-effective, convenient living options. You may choose from a variety of living arrangements, from residing solo to sharing space with up to three roommates. Most offer 9-10 month leasing options, parking, secure, controlled access, fitness center, full kitchens, washers and dryers, cable television and common lounges. All fall under the jurisdiction of the UB Department of Public Safety and are easily accessible via the UB shuttle.  A fall 2010 Housing Fair will take place July.  Until that time, you may visit the fall 2009 New Law Students Housing Fair web page for information about UB Midtown and other properties.

Lap Top Information

Lap top computers are not required but are recommended for new students. Many faculty allow students to use lap tops for their final exams. The School of Law has established a list of recommended features for lap tops.

Financial Aid

Federal financial aid programs provide the largest source of funding for the majority of students receiving financial assistance at the University of Baltimore.  A complete list of financial aid opportunities can be found on the Law Admission website.   To apply for financial aid:

Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This form is available from your college Financial Aid Office, or online - http://www.fafsa.ed.gov.

Visit the Financial Aid Office website more information on special conditions and budget increases such as change in employment, separation, child care, etc. or send an email to the Financial Aid Office.
