November 17 - Law Student Wins LexisNexis Scholarship
Karen Surabian, a part-time student in the University of Baltimore School of Law, won a $12,000 scholarship from LexisNexis in its 3L Tuition Sweepstakes.

November 13 - Judges' Reception, Nov. 16
TODAY: The University of Baltimore School of Law will host a Judges' Reception on Nov. 16 in the lobby of the John and Frances Angelos Law Center (the School of Law building). Judges from every level of the Maryland judiciary will be on hand to receive heartfelt thanks for their support and guidance to UB students and alumni.

November 10 - 'Saving the Chesapeake' Symposium, Nov. 19
The University of Baltimore School of Law will host its third annual "The Bay in Crisis: Saving the Chesapeake Bay" symposium on Thursday, Nov. 19. The daylong event will focus on the protection and restoration of the Chesapeake's native fish and shellfish.

November 6 - Family Law Center Names Senior Fellow
Sharon Rubinstein, a lawyer and former journalist with a strong background in public interest advocacy, particularly for children, has been named a senior fellow for the University of Baltimore School of Law's Center for Families, Children and the Courts.

November 4 - Acclaimed Author Taylor Branch Discusses New Clinton Book at School of Law, Nov. 23
Pulitzer Prize-winning author Taylor Branch, the Baltimore-based writer responsible for the masterpiece of civil rights narrative history known as the "America in the King Era Trilogy," will visit the University of Baltimore School of Law on Nov. 23 to discuss his latest work, The Clinton Tapes: Wrestling History with the President.
