Civil Advocacy

Loncarich joined the Civil Advocacy Clinic in the spring of 2011. Prior to joining the faculty, Loncarich was a litigation associate at Hogan Lovells US LLP in Baltimore where she was primarily involved in commercial matters involving health care fraud and products liability. Before joining Hogan, Loncarich was a litigation associate at Jenner & Block LLP in Chicago and Washington, D.C., where she worked on a variety of matters, including internet copyright infringement litigation, spent nuclear fuel litigation, and white collar criminal investigations. In addition, she was actively involved in representing clients on a pro bono basis in federal death penalty and asylum appeals. She has also served as an adjunct professor of legal research and writing at George Washington University Law School in Washington, D.C.

Loncarich graduated with highest distinction from the University of Iowa, where she received a degree in philosophy, was elected as a member of Phi Beta Kappa, and was the recipient of the Bergmann Prize in Philosophy. She received her J.D. from Harvard Law School, where she was a member of the Journal on Legislation. Loncarich is a member of the Maryland, Illinois, and District of Columbia bars, and currently serves as a member of the Delivery of Legal Services Section Counsel for the Maryland State Bar Association.
