Balgamwalla joined the University of Baltimore faculty in June 2011. Prior to becoming a teaching fellow at the Immigrant Rights Clinic, she served as the Maryland domestic violence program attorney at the Asian Pacific American Legal Resource Center in Washington, D.C., where she represented survivors in immigration and family law matters. She also previously taught the Immigration Law Practicum at the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law, and served as director and staff attorney for the university-affiliated Center for Immigration Law and Practice.
Balgamwalla is a member of the New York bar.
