9th Annual Feminist Legal Theory Conference: Applied Feminism Today
We were honored to have Judge Nancy Gertner as our keynote speaker. She is a former U. S. federal judge who built her career standing up for women's rights, civil liberties and justice for all. She is currently on the faculty at Harvard Law School and is the author of In Defense of Women: Memoirs of an Unrepentant Advocate.
The 9th Annual Feminist Legal Theory Conference was held on Friday, March 4, 2016. We hope you will join us for next year's 10th Anniversary conference on March 30-31, 2017.
This year's theme was Applied Feminism Today. Activists and academics shared their work on cutting-edge issues of feminist legal theory. Topics included human trafficking, eco-feminism, and guns and the Second Amendment, among others. The presentations featured both domestic and global perspectives, as well as interdisciplinary approaches for analyzing and achieving gender equity.
