"I chose UB Law because of the reputation it has for producing quality lawyers that are ready to practice. I also liked the fact that its national ranking is on the rise and wanted to be part of something that was going to continue to grow."

PROFILE

Graduation year: 2012
Status: Recent graduate, full-time day program
Undergraduate school: University of Baltimore
Undergraduate major: Accounting

Chris is a double University of Baltimore graduate, having received his undergraduate degree in accounting from UB before starting law school as a full-time day student. He is a Baltimore native.

You’ve held a number of internships throughout your law school career.

Throughout my three years of law school, I’ve interned for the U.S. Attorney’s Office, a U.S. District Court judge and the Office of the State’s Attorney for Baltimore City, as well as for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Depending on the internship, I’ve spent time researching case law and statutes, writing memos, participating in trial preparations and drafting motions.

What will you be doing after graduation?

I’ll be clerking for the Hon. Marcus Z. Shar of the Baltimore City Circuit Court.

Is there anything you’d like to share with prospective students?

Get in now while you can. It's pretty cool being a part of a school that doesn’t want to settle for being mediocre or “just good enough.” UB Law wants to continue to push the envelope of student development, and the school’s ambition is evident in the new law school building.
