Lauren Young, director of litigation for the Maryland Disability Law Center, will receive the Robert M. Bell Award for Leadership in Public Service during a special ceremony on Feb. 8. The event is part of the 14th annual silent and live auction to benefit UB Students for Public Interest Law. The event is presented by the University of Baltimore School of Law.

Twelve students from the University of Baltimore School of Law, joined by faculty and staff advisers under the auspices of UB's chapter of the Student Hurricane Network, will travel to New Orleans and the Gulf Coast from Jan. 6-12 to resolve civil disputes for victims of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
