Adeen Postar joined the University of Baltimore Law Library as Director in May 2014 after being Deputy Director of the Pence Law Library at American University, Washington College of Law for 10 years. She has extensive experience in law firm, academic and government libraries, previously working as the library manager at the Washington office of Blank Rome LLP, coordinator for external services at Edward Bennett Williams Law Library at the Georgetown University Law Center and as a reference librarian at the Law Library of Congress. She also has been an active member of the American Association of Law Libraries and the Law Librarians' Society of the District of Columbia serving in various leadership positions. Her current work includes the administration of the Law Library, teaching Advanced Legal Research and she also is the associate editor of the State Practice Materials: Annotated Bibliographies published by Hein.
Postar has a J.D. from Washington University in St. Louis, MO and a master's of library science from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. She is a member of the bars of Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Virginia. She lives in North Bethesda, MD.
